Or, if there is a micro-SD slot, leave tablet OS as is and setup a dual boot and run everything on microSD, including Kindle, Nook, etc. apps.

In the long run, might be easier to reconsider the DRM issue. Once one learns how to do it, it's easily done. And then it's not necessary to spend $ on another device.
