Even if you have a wrong or corrupted libnickel after patching, you should be able to do a factory reset. I don't know what kind of buttons the Aura has, but I guess:
Hold the power button down for about 15 to 20 seconds to make sure the device is off.
Hold down the light button and power the device on while keeping it held down.
