Hi,
I'm curious : have you tried to power it on while it is plugged in to the wall?
The reason I ask is because your problem might not be caused by a broken hub but by a blown battery.
Edit: oops I did not realise how old this thread was :-) Still, gonna leave my comment for others that may mistake a battery problem for a hub problem.
