As previously threatened here is another novel by Prosper Mérimée, Colomba. It is a frequent tale in classic literature, a daughter's obsession with revenge on those who murdered her father. It took some time to complete this because I had to order a copy of the original book from an out of state library. People just do not read Mérimée that much any more I guess? That’s a shame.
