Partially. And I've considered it back then (18 months ago?), when it came out.
But, as far as I know, it's a different touch technology. I find the IR on Kobo or Sony (probably same on nook and Kindle) highly responsive.
Someone, in another thread, even mentioned, the touchscreen responding to a snowflake (which he didn't like, since he couldn't read on the train station while it was snowing).
And I really loved the cover of the Sony 900. It was using the back of the unit, similar to the cover of Samsung Galaxy Note. Meaning: There only was a front flap, no back needed. Whereas the Sony 950 did have the standard Sony cover.
