My conclusion.

I now have similar books on a T1, a cheapo Android Neuropad and a smarter Toshiba Thrive.

The Neuropad with the lower resolution is the least fun to read with. The others come out with similar ratings - horses for horses differ in respect of portability and use in bright sun.
