Actually I met quite a few times that when I try to turn on my nook classic with this firmware, it just prompt me that it's going to turn off to save power. Obviously the bug is that it fails to turn on the machine to shutdown.
Previous soft-rooted firmwares also have similar problems.
To recover from a non-response nook due to low power battery is simple: just take out the batter and then plug in external power and press power button to boot. Once it starts the booting, you can put the batter back and it will start charging.
