Yes. I downloaded libzip1 from here:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archiv...9.3-1_i386.deb
And Kobo Desktop from here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2183775/kobo-desktop.deb
Then installed them both with gdebi, which pulled in any further dependencies required.
Does that work for you?
