We asked, you responded. Now Kindle has crowned the sci-fi and fantasy king and queen of the geeks, according to your votes.

The runners-up for king are George R. R. Martin with 20% of the votes, Stephen King (14%), Neil Gaiman (12%), and J.J. Abrams (7%); for queen it's Kim Harrison (15%), Charlaine Harris (10%), Stephenie Meyer (9%) and Suzanne Collins (8%).

And the winners? The honor goes to screenwriter and producer Joss Whedon, who netted 47% of the votes, and J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series and The Casual Vacancy. Rowling had 58% of readers' votes.
