Pocketbook pro 912 and USB power car adapter

Greetings,

We are choosing an e-book reader with a large screen for a recluse who lives in the mountains. It seems that the pocketbook 912 is a good choice for that.

However, his only source of electricity is a solar panel, and an electrician linked that to a car power adapter: the hollow tube that you will find embedded into most cars, normally meant to light cigarettes, and into which you can also plug devices that need low voltage electrical power.

Has anyone experience with charging a pocketbook 912 with such a system, through the micro-USB port, for example directly from your own car? There will be no computer involved. My understanding is that power wall adapters can be used (220V etc), but that is not an option in this case.

Thank you!
