The touch screen of the Sony works via IR sensors embedded in the bezel surrounding the screen, rather than by pressure. It is possible to turn the page without even touching the screen. An object breaking the grid formed by the IR beams will trigger a page turn. A fly, a mosquito, or a hair can cause undesired and unexpected page-turns.
