Not going to try to convince you here but on the off chance you do return it again or decide to junk it (which I suspect was just an overreaction on your part) I would defray a small portion of your cost by buying your stylus off of you. Sony has incredibly taken the position that I cannot acquire a replacement stylus under any circumstances from them...
