Ouch! FWIW, my experience has been the polar opposite of yours. The charge lasts 2 weeks at about 2 hours +/- reading per day and the one time I needed to call Sony support they were very polite, helpful and resolved the (minor) problem I had. I'm sorry that you have had such a bad experience, but I think you are probably in the minority.
