Update: I let the power drain and managed to get the Kindle 2 to boot... :-)

I am now up to fw 2.3 with screensaver hack installed (from http://www.avenard.org/kindle2/scree...ack-0.1.tar.gz) :-)

First let me say thanks for all your hard work on this - I love having the custom screensavers and everything worked fine until just recently.

Now I am having major issues with the uninstall (I want to update to 2.3).

I copied the uninstall file for my Kindle 2 to the root directory and powered the Kindle off - and on - and now my Kindle just flashes between saying it is starting up and it is doing a software update; it just sits there and does nothing else and the progress bar does not move at all. Moving the power switch for 5, 10, 15 or 20 seconds does nothing at all - it just does not respond :-(

I seem to have turned it into a brick :-(

Any help is really appreciated....
