This quizz reminded me of an interesting factoid... about the Dutch Elm Tree Disease that has just about wiped out all of America's magnificent Elm trees.
A Vermont woman developed a cure for this disease, but unfortunately there was no funding available to implement it. She did manage to save ALL the Elm trees in her local area but that was about it.
Who was she, what was her treatment, and why couldn't it be easily used all over the country to save the species.
