Itīs $400(it used to be 1500 last year and 3000 the year before that) for online purchases with a credit card, $2500(5000 last year and i think 10000 the year before that) a year if you travel for credit card purchases and cash. And thereīs other ammounts for students and people living abroad
Cadivi(the government entity that regulates foreign exchange) began as a way to combat the ressesion caused by a strike from the government owned PDVSA in 2002. Our economy is based on oil exports and PDVSA is the largest oil company in venezuela so its strike basically crippled the economy in 2002-03.
Also itīs to help the government to institute the revolution/socialism of the 21st century (just plain old comunism) in venezuela and keep the capitalist bastards from stealing the peopleīs money.
