Moderator Notice
The below is what was considered in coming to a decision.

1- MobileRead has just had a "100 books in 2010 Challenge" thread that discussed or commented on starting, during, and ending goals between members who wished to join the fun.

2- A second thread, "2010 Reading Goals", was used by some members to post their list. Members posted to that thread with their personal goals if they wished, others keep track of their books read in other ways. Some used Goodreads or excel sheets. There was no requirement to post your list, just to personally keep track, however you wished.

3- Many members posted in a current long-running thread on MR, "Hey!! Let's get some action going! What are we reading?" about what they had just read and what they personally thought about it. The whole MR community was able to read the posts and add to comments about the book, also. <<This thread is easily searched for a book title or member by using the "Search this Thread" or "Advanced Search" option. That way you can find your own posts easily, posts that mention a book you have read or are considering next, or even search to see what another member has just read.>>

We have taken into account comments in the feedback thread, the other threads, the social group discussions, various reports, and PM's to come to a decision that takes into account all of the above and MobileRead's guideline aim to be an inclusive forum.

With all of the above in mind, we have decided that a separate forum for this book challenge will not be created.

1- The current thread, "READ 100 BOOKS IN 2011", started by THE TERMINATOR, will continue to be the thread discussing and commenting about the beginning, during, and ending of the challenge. This thread will be stickied.

2- A New second stickied thread (Members of 'READ 100 BOOKS IN 2011' - Book Lists) will be started soon (is set up) that is only for members to posts their lists, if they choose to do so. Since the thread may be a long one, please bookmark your post to make it easy to return and edit. No discussion will be held in this thread, please use the original thread, "READ 100 BOOKS IN 2011" for making comments.

3- Members may post what they have read or are going to read in the current thread, "Hey!! Let's get some action going! What are we reading?". The whole MR community is welcome to read the posts and add to comments about the book, also. <<This thread is easily searched for a book title or member by using the "Search this Thread" or "Advanced Search" option. That way you can find your own posts easily, posts that mention a book you have read or are considering next, or even search to see what another member has just read.>>

4- Book discussions and or lists may still be in the social group of READ 100 BOOKS IN 2011.

5- Members may copy their lists from the closed threads or social group thread and paste them to the new list thread or not, if they wish.

6- This is suppose to be a fun challenge started by THE TERMINATOR and not require more time to record-keep than to read. So, have fun reading, and if you have time, post about it or keep a list.
