It could be a faulty charger, do you know someone who has a PSP charger you can borrow to see if the PRS600 will charge with that?

Did you get the official charger or did you buy a cheap PSP charger? If you have an non-Sony charger you might want to check the voltage (5V or better 5,2V) and the Amps (the higher the quicker it charges, don't know what's the minimum for the PRS).
