Amazon sells 2 different models in this line with only one difference: one includes the 3G cell phone connection (usually called 3g+wifi), the other does not and can only connect via wifi/wireless.

So since you have the wifi only version (which I also have), you have 2 options: get a router to setup wireless, or just use the USB cord and transfer the titles over that way.

One easy way to do this is also install Kindle for PC from the Amazon website. That way the Kindle for PC picks up your Amazon titles, and if you have your Kindle device connected via USB, the Kindle for PC can sync/load the books that way.

Whispernet is a generalized term for the ability to load your books from the internet, this can be done through 3G, wifi, or usb cord.
