You left out the Ayurvedic part... They get reincarnated and grow tall again and again. As I said, the Appalachian Chain is in it's
third decline. It's the Eurasian Plate and the African Plate squeezing the North American Plate against the Pacific Plate, causing both the Appalachian Chain and the Rockies to crumple and rise. (The Rockies are much younger than the Appalachians but formed from the same pressures.) If you put a sheet of paper on a table and push from opposite sides, you can the same event. (But smaller...)
