Some more trials:
.sh file for leafpad has '&'.. but not there in kterm's .sh.. tried adding it.. but no change..
frotz/glulxe/frob are able to resume after being interrupted by screensaver.. though they are actually running under kterm..
in the .json file for both leafpad and kterm, i had added the
"exitmenu": false clause.. leafpad is able to resume but not kterm..
tried removing the
"exitmenu": false clause from kterm's .json.. now it's able to resume..
so...
