Requirements:
Something durable: Most likely it will be dropped, stepped on, drooled on, and marked with all sorts of finger prints.
Easy to use: Three of my children are 5 and younger. The other two are a bit older. But none of them are old enough to be too 'tech savvy' yet, so I'd like something that is fairly easy to use.

Are there any E-Readers that are made specifically for kids? Or what is the best recommendation for one to be used by the whole family?

None! Buy paper books. They're much cheaper. The cheapest ereader is $70 plus tax. How many times are you going to be willing to replace it every time a kid steps on it? How much money are you willing to waste on replacing broken electronics because of the kids?

Buy a paper book. They're cheaper and more durable than electronics. Ones made for kids that can handle being dropped will be useless & boring for anyone older. Stick to paper for them and buy one for yourself and hide it with the laptop kept away from the kidlets!
