Yepp, beaver uses the dir /home/root/.beaver/ for configuration files.

Shell script is attached, which deletes the config file "General". Beaver creates a new one with default values, when you start beaver the next time.

I have set the home directory to

export HOME=/usr/local/home
in the beaver starting shell script, but beaver ignores this.
