My confusion on the subject came from having used both about a month back before epub support was added to the B&N version. Up until then the only difference between the two versions was the store they supported.
For Alreader, the files you are going to want are
this one then the English hyphenation file out of
this one. You'll need to change the hyphenation under preferences->screen and I'd suggest going to preferences->taps and selecting tap to enable single tap navigation.
edit: You'll also need to convert to a format it supports, FB2 is the best.
