I don't have GPS and Locus Free starts with the last map I was on. So maybe you can turn off your GPS before you close Locus Free. In that case it should not be able to find that you are in (beautiful) Praha. Will this help?
I also have Mapdroid working fine in Ermine, but I too had it installed with Dingo.
