Thanks LJ Sellers for pointing out this rumor. I'm not complaining about the thread, just opining that speculation when it comes to Apple is often wrong.

Apple does a lot of research, so there is probably *some* basis for these rumors. Even if Apple has no intent of producing a 7" tablet, they may have done a mockup of a 7" tablet, or priced components, or done preliminary market research, or disassembled competing tablets.
