Did you check setting URL rewriting ($config['cops_use_url_rewriting'] = "1"

with a normal browser (Firefox, Chrome, ...) ?

Are you able to download any epub file ?

If not then URL rewriting is maybe not enabled on the Apache installed on your NAS.

If it works then it really should be working with your Kobo.
