I must report I'm getting the exact same error trying to convert two different pdf files, on two different machines with the latest calibre. They are fresh installs of the latest calibre. That is, I've never used calibre before and only installed it today on my computers.
Could the latest version, 0.6.14 (28 Sep, 2009) have broken something?
