Follow and do everything listed under "More Things To Do". You'll need to have all of the stuff listed here working as you move on. Might as well do it upfront.

Once you root, you need to enable the Android Market:

manual process: http://www.nookdevs.com/NookColor:Manual_market_enable

Auto script didn't work for me. I enabled it manually.
