If it doesn't make sense, you can click the little blue box next to the quoted poster's name to get back to the post that was quoted to see if there was something in the original text (like a quote ) that would help it make more sense.

As long as I can get to the original quote, I prefer to not have nested quotes. Especially when the formatting inadvertently gets messed up, it is more likely to make pages unnecessarily long and confusing.

Also, it isn't that difficult to manually put in nested quotes, if you really really want them.
