My guess would be that it's one (of many) things still under development. My impression is that, in general, Entourage doesn't seem to get very specific about when features will be added until they're sure that it will be part of the next update (i.e., final stages of beta testing) and even then they don't specify an exact date in advance.

FWIW, I suspect that Boris is right in that Entourage wants to get that capability developed before the fall semester starts... but again, nothing official has been said since the January press release.
