Device: Thinkpad E595, Ubuntu Mate, Huawei Mediapad 5, Bouye Likebook Plus
Install Linux on the USB stick, possibly buy a larger and faster one, and run calibre that way on the laptop.

The library maintanence tools in calibre may be ablre to fix the library.
