Nein, mal ganz im Ernst: Welchen Vorteil hat das jetzt tatsächlich für Leser, die deutschsprachige Romane lesen wollen?
Nachdem Amazon.com seine AGB für Verlage gerade kürzlich erst dahingehend verändert hat, dass nur noch Verlage mit Sitz in den USA aufgenommen werden sollen, konterkariert man damit ja seine eigenen Bemühungen.

Für mich als eBook-Verleger stellt sich damit als erstes die Frage, wie ich bitteschön meine eBooks auf Amazon.com bekomme?

Und solange das Kindle nicht auch (DRM-)ePub unterstützt, haben wir die - eigentlich nicht gewollte und nicht erwünschte - Entwicklung, dass ein Anbieter sein proprietäres Format durchsetzen will.

Also, grundsätzlich begrüße ich die Entscheidung, aber ich hoffe, dass Bezos noch etwas auf den europäischen Markt zugeht.
