There is another problem beyond reliability. This is what Kovid was talking about when he said that he won't guarantee the technique's availability. Even though it sometimes happens, encouraging people to use and depend upon something and then take it away is not a good idea.

The above notwithstanding, the project is open source. People will look for and find ways to use it that are not expected or supported. This is a good thing, encouraging a fountain of ideas like yours. If you want to write the manual for some of the hacks, you should do so. That makes the information available without creating commitments for Kovid. Instead, it creates commitments for you.
