Considering how much is made of decimals being used in the Metric System, it made it seem almost evil to use fractions with metric measures.

And now for something completely off topic....

Could Captain Sisko (from Star Trek - Deep Space Nine) be the toughest of the Star Trek captains? He was able to do things that no other captain would consider (such as rendering an entire planet uninhabitable to humans just to make a point to his enemy and then to drive it home further threatens to do the same to other planets).
