OK, I guess I will go with the external disk option. I was sticking to the internal mem and only had it about half full over the past 4 months or so. Thankfully most of that is still on the PC in my Calibre database or in picture files and can be loaded again.

I agree on the Safely Removing Hardware step, I had a friend lose a hugh flash drive by just pulling it out. either it was accessing it or static electricty ate it up and he lost it all.
