Without seeing actual numbers that indicate who's got what market share, reports of "record sales" have a limit to their utility.

I wouldn't say the battle is "over" by any stretch, although I concur with the article that not having product available for the holidays (and the less-than-stellar reviews of the nook) will hurt.
