You missed two key points that are very important to non-Windows users: the PRS-505 can read RTF and PDF files right off the expansion cards. No need to convert them into an LRF file before loading! Moreover, it presents itself to any computer with a USB master controller as a USB mass storage device (actually as three of them -- internal memory, memory stick, and SD card all show up separately). What this means is, you can use it without touching the Sony software. Which is vital to those of us who don't particularly like being dependent on Redmond. This gizmo works fine, out of the box, with Linux and Mac. Which is good ...
