The "connection thingy" is called Device Manager. Go to the RNDIS device, TCP/IP v4 properties, manually assigned IP address = 192.168.15.201 netmask = 255.255.255.0, no gateway...
It can be found in the forum, complete with screenshots as I recall. But my hints should be enough if you have setup a windows network before...
