Saint-Exupéry, Antoine de: The Little Prince, V1, 9 December 2012
Antoine de St Exupery (1900-1944) was a major French literary figure and an aviation pioneer.
Although in poor health and over-age, he managed to join the Free French air force and in 1944 died flying a P38 on a reconnaisance flight over the Mediterranean.
His most famous book, and one of his last, is The Little Prince, illustrated with his own water-colours.
The cover and most of the illustrations in this edition are in colour. (A few pictures, as in the original book, are b&w.)
