I'd throw in at least three more works by Guy Gavriel Kay, along with The Broken Sword by Poul Anderson, and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke.

Given the list, I'm surprised Harry Potter isn't on there. Which isn't meant to say I'm disparaging either the list or Harry Potter.
