Kobo collection changes in calibre 0.9.22
With Kobo adding Archiving of kepubs in firmware 2.4.0, the calibre driver will now display this as a collection in the device list. Along with this I have done some big fixing on the Kobo collections.

The changes include:
  • Archived books will show in the device list with a collection of "Archived".
  • The "Recommendation" and "Preview" options didn't work properly.
  • Some previews showed as recommendations. This would have been most noticeable with fw 2.4.0.
  • If a recommendation matched a book in the calibre library, it could end up on a shelf. The books on the device would show with a "Buy now" button and could not be removed from the shelf. This will no longer happen.

If you currently have recommendations appearing on a shelf, to remove them:
  1. Make sure the "Show Recommendations" is selected in the driver options and metadata management is set to automatic.
  2. Connect the device.
  3. Let calibre sync to the device.
  4. Eject the device and check the shelves. If any recommendations are still on shelves, complain to me.
