As a researcher, forensic life auditor and scientist, I would have to
say, there is nothing out there on todays market that can come
close with the same features.
The problem here is, you can't accurately gauge the 700 as there
is not yet enough exposure, and a reluctance to shell out 400 more
for a device they already have (5xx) So, only time will tell the tale.

Actually the Irex was the first e-ink reader with a touch screen and there were several older LCD touch screen devices that could be used as readers.
