Book-related apps

I recently got my first Android device--a smartphone--and though the screen is rather small for reading, I'd like to install something to allow me to read e-books.

I know there are apps for Kindle and Nook, but I want something that would just allow me to read a non-DRM epub book, not something I need to authorize and all that hassle. I don't want to buy books or access them online; I just want to be able to have a few non-DRM epubs on the device for those times when I have nothing else to read.

Aldiko seems to have good reviews, but I'd appreciate any comments on that one or other suggestions for an appropriate app. Thanks.
