Thumbs up Fix a Kindle FAT Input/Ouput Error

This morning I had a

Kindle FAT Input/Ouput Error

seemingly caused by Calibre not cleanly unmounting my kindle?
(not the latest version just some old random one I had)

All my books said "This title has been deleted". And trying to access via FAT gave a "INPUT/OUTPUT error"

So I mounted it in the PC via USB.

and ran

Spoiler:
mount on the PC gives you a list of mounted devices and their connection point name. so you can find the "/dev/sdc1" below for your system type.

ON PC:
me@dev ~ $ sudo dosfsck -w -r -l -a -v -t /dev/sdc1

Quote:
Checking for bad clusters.
Reclaiming unconnected clusters.
Checking free cluster summary.
Free cluster summary wrong (10268 vs. really 10273)
Auto-correcting.
Performing changes.
/dev/sdc1: 16046 files, 405170/415443 clusters
then rebooted.

All fixed.
