That article is full of misinformation. Kindle Australia has one of the best setups compared to other countries.

eBooks are not $13.99 USD; they are $11.99 in Australia. And unlike most other countries, Australia has no additional duty fees on top of the $279. There's a reasonable $21 shipping fee and that's all the extra.

Australia has access to 280,000 ebooks, not 200,000 like the article said, with 100,000 under 5.99 USD.

The one thing Australia lacks is good wireless coverage.

Those nimrods at SMH.com.au need to check their facts.
