If they can work out the rights details, Amazon is certainly capable of creating a shadow copy of the Overdrive epub, stripping DRM and converting the format to AZW. They can loan out the shadow AZW to registered Kindle accounts under their lending control.
Have to see more technical details. I would like to see them not require more purchasing on strained library budgets.
