We now have a user reputation system in place.
The reputation system allows users to give anonymous feedback about their posts.
Each user has a reputation rank (or "karma"). This rank is determined by the number of reputation points you have received.
How much power a person's approve has is based on how long the person has been a member, on his post count, and on his staff position.
You cannot give reputation points to more than 10 other members in a day, and you may not give reputation points to the same member twice (without giving points to at least 10 other members in between).
Like your post count, your reputation rank is only a rough indicator of your contribution to the forums. Remember:
you are rating posts not members! We want to increase the quality of the forums and not start a popularity contest.
Btw, on a second thought, we decided to
disable negative reputations. The problem with negative reputation is that someone might feel unfairly treated, potentially causing unnecessary disputes. So give someone points only if you like his or her post
