I think that's probably where I've gone wrong as I've always relied heavily on just being able to come up with ideas but then struggle to actually write them down.

Music does it for me every time
I listen to The Shins or Mahler, or Jonny Cash and there's a story right there, with mood, emotion and everything else combined into one neat package. Sometimes I wonder if I'm not just a translator of songs
