Yep, mount your iPad as a network drive and you can easily copy over a few hundred megs of files in seconds. I uploaded some 500 PDFs of about 1G in just a few minutes.

The USB connection is also very fast, using the Apps tab in iTunes. You can drag and drop as much as you want into that little window.
